S U M M A R Y
A commissioners court may not delegate its authority under Local Government Code section 111.070(c) to amend the county
budget by transferring amounts between budgeted items. To the extent the county budget specifies items within a departmental
budget, the commissioners court may not delegate its authority to approve amendments to the county budget by transferring
amounts between such items.
